Bill Hickman
Bill Hickman was born in Kaikohe but has spent most of his life in Wellington, where he began playing guitar and writing songs in his early teens. He has played in an eclectic range of groups and styles, from the hard rock of Fat Mannequin to the footstomping folk of The Hobnail Boots. Currently one third of acoustic alt-country outfit The Shot Band, Bill is a committed performer who conveys the intensity and grit of his songwriting with a relaxed, upbeat approach reflected in the redemptive spirit of his EP Ghost of Smoke.
